Vector planet

Today I made a green planet in illustrator. First I made the random pattern to fill the planet with and then I masked it with a circle to define the outlines of the planet. Added some highlight and that was it. The green background of the planet is a gradient with a darker green to the lower right to act like a shadow on the darker side of the planet.

Another way of making the planet itself. I made this planet with half a circle and the revolve 3d filter and masked the surface with the pattern I made earlier. I think this planet turned out much better.
